A Different Perspective on a Familiar City

One of the most enjoyable things about the Water Taxi is seeing places you already know from an entirely different angle.

The riverfront restaurants, historic homes, waterfront estates and impressive yachts all take on a different character when viewed from the water.

For those of us living downtown, it's an opportunity to appreciate the waterways that make Fort Lauderdale such a distinctive place to live.

Make an afternoon of it

Rather than treating the Water Taxi as transportation from one place to another, turn it into an afternoon outing. Start downtown, enjoy the cruise, stop for lunch at a waterfront restaurant and continue exploring.

It's also a great activity when family and friends visit. Instead of driving everyone around Fort Lauderdale, let them experience the city from the water.

The hop-on, hop-off service connects multiple waterfront destinations, making it easy to plan a leisurely afternoon around the route. Check the current schedule and stops before heading out.

A LORH Resident's Advantage

We already live in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. With the Riverwalk and New River nearby, getting out to explore our waterfront is part of the appeal of living here.

The next time you have a free afternoon, consider trading your usual routine for a ride on the Water Taxi. Sometimes being a tourist in your own backyard is the best reminder of why you chose to live here.
